Epic Brewing begins distribution from Denver Brewery

July 19, 2013Chris Crowell

EPIC Brewing DenverEpic Brewing announced it will begin distributing from its newly established brewery in Denver on July 22. Epic will be distributed by Elite Beverage and American Eagle Distributing to serve Denver and the entire state of Colorado. American Eagle covers distribution from Longmont to Fort Collins, and Elite Beverage will distribute to Denver, Colorado Springs, Boulder and the balance of the state.

“Colorado has a great beer community,” said Kevin Crompton, Epic’s brewmaster. “They have been very welcoming, and we are looking forward to introducing the three new beers, as well as being part of the community.”

Epic will be releasing three new beers brewed exclusively by the Denver brewery:

  • “Escape to Colorado IPA” is a fruit- and dank-driven American style IPA, dry hopped with Mosaic hops.

  • “RiNo Pale Ale” is a premium pale ale highlighting Pacific Northwest hops varieties balanced with English malts.

  • “Blue Ski Lager” is a crisp Rocky Mountain lager with a clean noble hop profile.

EPIC Brewing Denver“We have worked hard toward this goal for nearly two years, and we are so stoked to be part of the Denver and Colorado beer scene.” said Epic’s Co-Founder David Cole. “It is a big, exciting, step for us which allows Epic to become part of a great beer state, increase distribution and reach more craft beer drinkers.”

The Denver distribution kick-off will take place over the course of several days during the last week and a half in July. Epic will partner with 20-plus local establishments for a series of tastings and tap take over events totaling over 75 beers on tap around Denver and the surrounding area. The first two events will take place at Falling Rock Tap House and Hops and Pie.

July 22, six beers will be on tap at the Falling Rock Tap House starting at 5:30 p.m.

July 23, at 11:30 a.m., Hops and Pie will tap six beers. Old Major will be serving one tap and Freshcraft will be serving two later that day.

EPIC Brewing DenverJuly 24, the Star Bar will feature three beers, Back Country Pizza in Boulder will tap five beers and Lucky Pie Pizza will feature three.

July 25, the Kitchen Next Door will tap two beers and City O City will tap three.

July 26, Euclid Hall will have three beers on tap; Colorado Plus will tap four.

Small Batch Liquors and Hazels will be hosting tastings from 4–7 p.m.

The Denver brewery is also in the process of constructing a tap room which will feature 25 taps and two beer engines. Opening is planned for September 28th. Public tours of the brewery will also be available at that time.
