Epic Brewing announced its expansion into the Wisconsin market with a line of 36 beers. Distribution will be handled by River City Distributing, based in Watertown, Wis., and will encompass the entire state.
The Wisconsin launch will take place over the course of several days, from Jan 13 through Jan. 16 and include a series of tasting events. Epic Co-Founders David Cole and Peter Erickson along with National Sales Manager Michael Malachowski and Midwest Sales Representative Molly Swanston will be in attendance at the events.
“We are very excited to become part of Wisconsin’s beer culture,” Malachowski said. “A lot of people have been asking when Epic would be available and now that our Denver brewery is producing its finally time.”
Epic Brewing Co. was founded in Salt Lake City in 2010 and is distributed in the following States: Utah, California, Colorado, Oregon, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, Ohio, Virginia and D.C., New Jersey, Minnesota, North Carolina, Michigan, Washington and Wisconsin.
On Jan. 13, Dexter’s Pub in Madison will host a “Meet Epic Brewing” event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring Epic’s beer on draft and the opportunity to meet the co-founders and sales team. Tastings will continue at Cooper’s Pub from 6 p.m to 8:30 p.m.
On Jan. 15, Discount Liquor — Waukesha will host a tasting from 3 to 5 p.m. Ray’s Liquor — Milwaukee will be sampling the beers in their tasting room at 6 p.m. and Stubby’s Gastro Grub — Milwaukee will begin tapping at 8 p.m.
On Jan. 16, Three Cellars Beer Club — Franklin will feature Epic’s beer at a release party from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sugar Maple — Milwaukee will tap a selection of beer from 8:30 to 11 p.m.
“The Midwest is well known for its love of beer, and Epic has been met with excitement and enthusiasm,” Cole said. “We are looking forward to working with River City Distributing and meeting new members of the craft beer community.”
