Expansion plans on overdrive for startup Schubros Brewery

There is no way to sum up everything Schubros Brewery is doing in one witty cutline. Just read the whole thing.

Schubros Brewery, an upstart brewery focused on creating a bold epicurean experience, announced that it is expanding its distribution statewide and into four new U.S. markets in order to address increasing market demand for its beers. Working in partnership with Young’s Market Co., Schubros beers will soon be available across California. Within the following couple of months, Schubros will also rapidly announce its entry into Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C., via a partnership with Maryland-based DOPS, Inc., and its debut into Kansas through an agreement with Worldwide Wine and Spirits.

To meet increasing demand for its beers locally, and to accommodate the expansion into these new markets, Schubros Brewery is investing in people and property — announcing that it is bringing Eric Reid DuVall on-board as head brewmaster. The brewery also is announcing that it is accelerating its capital offer and plans to fund the buildout of its next-generation brewery.

DuVall brings deep operational experience to Schubros Brewery. Prior to joining Schubros, he served as Brewmaster for Huntington Beach Beer Company and Tustin Brewing Company in Southern California, where he won a Great American Beer Fest Medal for his Brown Porter beer. He also ran shift brewing for Deschutes Brewery in Oregon. In addition, he brings a broad and diverse background in operational and sales expertise to his new role at Schubros, having served as a former executive manager at several Silicon Valley companies.

“This is an exciting time for Schubros, as we look forward to long relationships with Young’s, DOPS, and Worldwide,” says Ian Schuster, Schubros’ CEO. “We just need to make sure that all cylinders are firing. Eric has the skills, experience and organizational acumen to squeeze out every drop of the best beer we can make. And with our latest shares offering, we’ll be able to expand our current brewery ASAP and get our next one up and running sooner rather than later.”
