Details of a dedicated workshop specifically for craft breweries, wineries and distilleries have been announced as part of Labelexpo Americas. This pleases us greatly. The Craft Beverage Day is being hosted at this year’s show in Rosemont, Chicago, on Sept. 11 and will feature a tailored conference, networking lunch and tour of the show.
Aimed at producers of craft wines, beer and spirits, the Craft Beverage Day is designed to help increase the impact of a beverage’s label in retailing. The day will give delegates the chance to increase their understanding of all aspects of label production, from materials used, the machinery involved, adhesives and the latest design trends.
The special seminar will include presentations by Roman Artz of Inland Label, who will review the different types of labels and trends that sell more product and give an overview of the available label options for aluminum cans and glass bottles. He will be followed by Clara Meinen of One Sweet Design, who will take attendees through designing labels for maximum brand consistency and shelf impact. She will delve into how to work with designers and printers to ensure the product’s final look is geared to drive appeal and sales.
A hosted show tour follows the seminar, where attendees can to meet some of the industry’s leading suppliers of beverage labeling products, including HP Indigo and Avery Dennison Label and Packaging Materials, as well as experience some of this year’s new feature areas including Smart Mart. After a networking lunch, the day will finish with an expert beverage label converter panel discussion and question and answer session.
“There has been huge, exponential growth for the country’s small and independent craft brewers over the last few months,” explained Tasha Ventimiglia, event director for Labelexpo Americas. “With the rising popularity of craft brewing and growing number of breweries, the craft beverage workshop will really help brewers differentiate their beverage brands from the competition. In a very crowded market place, the day will give them a valuable understanding of how their label’s aesthetics can appeal to and engage consumers more effectively and win sales.”
Labelexpo Americas is the largest dedicated label and package printing tradeshow serving the North and South American markets and features over 400 exhibitors. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the event is being held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Chicago, between Sept. 9 – 11.
Tickets are only available for craft brewers and cost $55 before August 29. Bookings can be made online at www.labelexpo-americas.com using the code CRAFT14.
