Grand Teton expands distribution into Montana

April 15, 2013Chris Crowell

Grand Teton Brewing
Grand Teton Brewing hooks up with new distributor to better serve its local market.

Idaho – the land of potatoes, blue football fields and Grand Teton Brewing. Well, this Northwest U.S. brewing staple announced a new distribution deal that will extend its reach into neighboring Montana.

From the company’s newsletter:

For the past three years, Watkins Distributing has been stocking retailers with Grand Teton beer throughout Idaho. We have been lucky enough to build a strong, successful relationship with the Watkins family. We are thrilled to announce that we have expanded our relationship to include Bill and Harry Watkins with Zip Beverage in Missoula, Montana.

Zip Beverage will be distributing Grand Teton Brewing throughout the Missoula and Butte regions of Montana, but Grand Teton is quick to point out that this isn’t a move of global or countrywide domination. The company just wants to better serve its local market.

We’ve made it public knowledge that we are not adding territories outside of our local markets. The addition of these close to home markets will help us fill in some local market gaps, and work more closely with regional chain stores.
