Karl Strauss Brewing Co. is partnering with the coalition of independent distributors dubbed “The Attenuators Network” to manage a growing portion of its on- and off-premise distribution throughout Southern California. Due to increased consumer demand, Karl Strauss is experiencing tremendous growth and its beer sales in California are up 32 percent over last year — far outpacing the craft industry average. Karl Strauss chose The Attenuators because of their commitment to craft beer, extensive network throughout Southern California and dedication to making the Karl Strauss brand available to more fans.

“It is so important to us that our distributor partners understand and embrace local craft beer. The Attenuators network has demonstrated a passion for our business; we know they will work hard to gain new placements and increase the availability of our award-winning beers,” said Marc Martin, vice president of beer for Karl Strauss.

By partnering with The Attenuators, Karl Strauss will gain access to more than 25,000 on- and off-premises accounts in Los Angeles County, Orange County (off-premise only), Riverside County and San Bernardino County. Karl Strauss will continue to self-distribute on-premise accounts in San Diego and Orange County.

Karl Strauss is slated to brew 60,000 barrels (bbls) and remains one of Southern California’s fastest-growing breweries.

The Attenuators Network:

  • Ace Beverage Co.

  • Allied Beverages Inc.

  • Central Coast Distributing LLC

  • Hangar 24 Craft Distribution

  • Heimark Distributing LLC

  • Mission Beverage Co.

  • R&S Beverage Co.

  • Straub Distributing Co.

  • Triangle Distributing Co.

“The Attenuators will help us further penetrate our local market and achieve our goal of providing the freshest and highest quality beer to fans across Southern California,” Martin said.

With a commitment to beer education —there are several Certified Cicerones on staff — the Attenuators will make Karl Strauss more readily available and expose new fans to the brand.
