Mississippi in March. Kentucky and Hawaii in the near future.

The gifts of craft beer should be enjoyed by all citizens in Mississippi. Well, at least those of drinking age. New Belgium Brewing Co. aims to keep Mississippians stocked up on Colorado-inspired craft. The company announced it will open Mississippi on March 3 as its 37th state of distribution. Brands immediately available will include Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Snapshot Wheat, Shift, Trippel, 1554, Summer Helles and some Lips of Faith brands. The Fort Collins, Colo.-based brewer went with a mix of wholesale partners across the state including:

Capital City Beverage — (Miller/Coors)
Mitchell Distributing — (ABI)
F.E.B. Distributing — Miller/Coors
A&B Distributing — (ABI)
Stokes Distributing — (Miller/Coors)
Magnolia Beverage — (Miller/Coors)

“We’re incredibly excited to be rolling into Mississippi,” said New Belgium Regional Director Rusty Hancock. “With the recent addition of Alabama, we are now available throughout the entire southeastern U.S. and that’s something we’ve been working toward for a while now.”

New Belgium is also looking to open Kentucky and Hawaii later this year. These guys and gals are always eyeing new markets.
