New Holland Brewing distribution update: California and Texas

March 3, 2016Chris Crowell

New Holland Brewing CoWhile enjoying a few beers at our hotel bar at the Great American Beer Fest in 2015, your CBB team just happened to be sitting next to a New Holland brewer. He assured us that the Holland, Mich.-based brewery was doing awesome and that they’d be focused on expansion and solidifying their branding going forward. He wasn’t lying. Just the other day New Holland Brewing Co. showed off its new packaging designs, and this week announced distribution in a few new key markets: California and the Houston, San Antonio and surrounding areas in Texas. These new territories are part of the brewery’s now 30-state distribution network. To celebrate, New Holland will be hosting a handful of events in each state, throughout March, to kick off their launch.

“We are inspired by our mission to contribute flavorful choices to the passionate and thirsty craft drinkers,” stated Fred Bueltmann, VP of brand and lifestyle. “We feel connected to these markets for so many reasons and have heard the call of demand for our beers. It’s clear there is a strong and vibrant craft scene in both of these markets, with passionate and dedicated people moving it forward.”

New Holland has tapped several respected companies as their distributors for the new territories: Wine Warehouse in California and Silver Eagle Distributors in the Houston and San Antonio areas of Texas. New Holland will release a portion of their Year Round series of craft beer, including the popular Dragon’s Milk, Bourbon Barrel Stout.

“It is amazing to see the remarkable level of service in the craft distribution game,” stated Bueltmann. “We have come a long way as an industry, and we are impressed and excited to build our relationship with these partners.”

Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P., is the nation’s second largest beer distributor. The company employs close to 1,500 employees that serve 16 counties in Texas through operations in Houston, San Antonio, Pasadena, Cypress, Conroe and Rosenberg. Wine Warehouse is one of the largest distributors of alcoholic beverages in the United States as well, covering the state of California through branches in Northern and Southern California.
