Alberta looks to have a good week ahead of them. Starting Nov. 19, 2014, craft beer fans will be able to drink Ninkasi Brewing Co. beer throughout Alberta, Canada. In partnership with Copper & Theory Artisan Beer Supply Co. Ninkasi will offer its 12- and 22-ounce bottles along with draft beers throughout the western Canadian province. Ninkasi’s Flagship Series — including Total Domination IPA, Believer Double Red, Tricerahops Double IPA, Oatis Oatmeal Stout, and Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout — and its Special Release and Seasonal Release series will all be available.

First distributed to Vancouver, British Columbia, in Febuary. 2013, the partnership with Copper & Theory marked the brewery’s first venture into a market outside of the United States. When Copper & Theory announced its expansion to Alberta, Ninkasi was immediately onboard.

“We are thrilled that Ninkasi will be flowing in Alberta,” said Nikos Ridge, co-owner and CEO of Ninkasi. “It’s exciting that Canadian craft beer fans are so enthusiastic about getting their hands on Oregon beer.”

“Alberta is a fast growing market for craft beer and it is just about to realize it’s potential,” Adam Henderson, founder of Copper & Theory, said. “Albertans have incredible enthusiasm for beer right now, so we’re very excited to expand our partnership with Ninkasi and bring its great beer into the province.”

“It’s an honor to work with such a knowledgeable partner in a thriving craft beer scene,” Ridge said. “We know it will be inspiring, and a lot of fun, to introduce our lineup of craft beers to Alberta.”
