Ninkasi Brewing distribution reaches into Southern California

August 13, 2013Jason Morgan

Ninkasi Brewing Co. announced the distribution of its 22-oz line-up, draft beers and limited releases to Southern California. Ninkasi will bring its Flagship Series — including Total Domination IPA, Believer Double Red, Tricerahops Double IPA, Oatis Oatmeal Stout and Vanilla Oatis Oatmeal Stout — to the greater Los Angeles basin, Orange and San Diego counties this August. Other available series will include Ninkasi’s Seasonal Release Series and limited quantities of its Special Release, Prismatic Lager and Rare and Delicious series.

“Our newly added capacity has allowed us to join the craft party in San Diego and to be a part of the revolution taking place in Los Angeles,” explained Marty Ochs, vice president of sales for Ninkasi. “The excitement is tangible, the fan support is cult-like, and it feels like there are accounts lined up waiting with open arms.”

Ninkasi has signed agreements with six distributorships to deliver its high-quality craft beers throughout Southern California, including L. Knife & Son Inc.’s DBA Craft Beer Guild Distributing of California – San Diego division, which will handle distribution in San Diego County. The greater Orange County and Los Angeles basin areas will be covered by an alliance of Straub Distributing Co., Ace Beverage Co., Mission Beverage Co., Triangle Distributing Co. and Heimark Distributing LLC.

“We’re honored to be entering the market with a host of new partners who represent great craft beers,” Ochs said. “We are humbled by the number of fanatic craft beer drinkers who have created a rapidly growing craft atmosphere to make this move possible.”
