Ninkasi Brewing expands distribution into Texas

July 22, 2015Chris Crowell

Ninkasi Brewing Co. is on a roll these days. When the Eugene, Ore.-based brewery isn’t creating cool ideas, it’s expanding distribution — like its roll out in Texas this September. Through a partnership with Andrews Distributing Co., Ninkasi’s full lineup of favored beers — including Total Domination IPA, Tricerahops Double IPA, Seasonal and Special Release beers — will be available throughout the Dallas-metro area starting September 14.

Ninkasi Brewing LogoEstablished in 2006 by co-founders Nikos Ridge and Jamie Floyd, Ninkasi is now ranked the 36th largest craft brewery in the United States.

“North Texas is a rapidly expanding market with a huge population and an ever growing thirst for craft beer,” explained Nikos Ridge, Ninkasi CEO and co-founder. “Entering into a growing craft beer market with a team who fuels that growth is an exciting prospect; we feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be working with a craft-focused and innovative partner.”

“Nikos, Jamie and the team make remarkable beer and are very well respected in the craft beer community,” said Jill Newman, Andrews Distributing’s craft brand director. “We both believe in and are committed to sharing great craft beer experiences with retailers, consumers and our communities.”

Ninkasi will also launch its Beer is Love donations program to the Dallas-metro area. An official program since 2012, Beer is Love offers donations to non-profits throughout all the areas where Ninkasi distributes, helping those organizations raise funds and awareness to achieve their goals.
