Old Firehouse Brewery expands distribution to Ohio

September 15, 2015Jason Morgan

Old Firehouse BreweryThe Williamsburg-based craft brewery, Old Firehouse Brewery (OFB),  announced plans to expand availability of its beer to the entire state of Ohio through its exclusive distribution partner, Cincinnati-based Cavalier Distributing. The state-wide availability began Sept. 1.

“We’re excited to increase our distribution map,” commented Adam Cowan, owner, Old Firehouse Brewery. “Cavalier has done a great job of getting us into the Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus and Toledo markets. It’s clear that there is a passion for craft beer, and the demand for our offerings has steadily grown. This comes just as we’re celebrating our first anniversary, and we feel we’ve come a long way in a very short period of time.”

Cavalier distributes OFB core beers including:

  • Pin-Up Girl | American Blonde Ale |ABV 5.0 percent | IBU 18
  • Code 3 | Red Ale | ABV 5.2 percent | IBU 22
  • Flash Point | East Coast-Style IPA | ABV 6.7 percent | IBU 50
  • Probie Porter | Chocolate/Coffee Porter | ABV 6.5 percent | IBU 36
  • Hoser Gose | Wheat Gose | ABV 5.0 percent | IBU 15

In addition, OFB has released multiple seasonal and limited edition beers through Cavalier with many new seasonal options planned to be routinely available and as production allows.

“OFB’s dedication to brewing high-quality, exceptional beers has earned it a strong reputation in the current markets,” commented State Sales Manager Aaron Spoores, Cavalier Distributing. “Building on this initial success, we’re confident that OFB’s offerings will be widely accepted throughout Ohio, as we roll out this extended distribution.”

The Old Firehouse Brewery, established in 2013, is a family owned and operated business. The proprietors are local area residents Adam Cowan, a former fire fighter, and his wife Lori Ward. The Chief Brewer is Ben Ramsey, previously with Alltech/Kentucky Ale. As the name implies, OFB’s brewery/taproom is located in an old firehouse and decorated with historical firefighter memorabilia.
