SteadyServ extracts data from kegs to improve keg rotation

December 9, 2015Chris Crowell

Everybody hates an unexpectedly empty keg. The poor beer drinker who must order something else, the bar/restaurant for maybe missing a sale and the brewer, who may kind of be happy because, hey, at least people drank it, but missing sales and halting momentum is not cool.

What is cool is SteadyServ, here to fight the good fight against this scourge. Here’s the deal: SteadyServ has been refining its patented iKeg technology over the past three years, coming into 2016 as a robust Data-as-a-Service company providing clear, actionable metrics regarding draft beer consumed on premise. The company’s overarching objective is not only to revolutionize how beer is transported and sold, but also to bring usable data to an industry that is severely lacking in it. Here’s a handy video to explain:

“IoT is fully-engrained in SteadyServ at the DNA level, rather than simply being a product or a project,” said Steve Herschberger, CEO of SteadyServ. “Our systems, infrastructure, strategy and tools are 100 percent IoT, mobile and big-data centric, and this award is further validation that what we are doing will fundamentally change the way beer is brewed, bought and sold in the future.”

To top it all off, SteadyServ was just chosen in the Red Herring Top 100 Global, which celebrates startup innovations and technologies. Red Herring’s Top 100 Global list has become a mark of distinction for identifying promising new companies and entrepreneurs.

Founded in 2012, SteadyServ is built for the next wave of the beer and beverage industry. The company’s revolutionary DaaS beer management and inventory platform gives retailers the tools that they need to sell every last drop of beer and successfully connect with the end customer. SteadyServ’s patented technology tracks and analyzes real-time beer data, minimizing waste and generating valuable insights for owners, buyers and servers.
