Stone Brewing beers to debut in Nebraska August 20 (check out all these parties)

July 25, 2013Keith Gribbins

Stone Week Nebraska Logo
Man, we so want to go to Stone Week Nebraska in August. We could totally crush the Great Nebraska Beer Fest. Who can put us up?

Nebraskans, that treeless prairie you call a state is not only ideal for cattle-grazing and corn, it’s a serene venue to sip an ice-cold craft beer — like a Stone IPA — which will be hitting Nebraskan shelves August 20 for the first time, according to Stone Brewing Co., the San Diego craft brewing company. The beers will be available in bars, restaurants and retail outlets.

Known for its bold, flavorful and hop-centric ales, Stone will distribute its beers throughout the Cornhusker State via four area distributors: Double Eagle Beverage, Eagle Beverage, H & H Distributing and Quality Brands of Omaha. Stone Brewing Co. Craft Beer Ambassador “Dr.” Bill Sysak and the regional Stone sales team will host a slew of events to celebrate from Aug. 20 through 24.

“Nebraska has long been a state that has expressed interest in having our beers available in their local establishments,” said Stone Director of National Sales Jason Armstrong. “Our Nebraska fans have been very active on social media and telling us at beer festivals how much they want Stone beer in their state. It’s exciting to add Nebraska to our Stone family and contribute to the growing craft beer scene there.”

Each distributor will distribute Stone beers to bars, retailers and restaurants in their headquarter-based cities: Lincoln, Fremont, Grand Island and Omaha. Nebraska joins 38 states; Washington, D.C.; five countries and Puerto Rico, where Stone beers are already distributed. All nine year-round Stone beers, as well as various special releases, will be distributed in Nebraska. Stone beers soon to be available will include:

Stone Pale Ale
Stone Smoked Porter
Stone IPA
Stone Levitation Ale
Stone Ruination IPA
Arrogant Bastard Ale
OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale
Stone Cali-Belgique IPA
Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale
