Stone Brewing introduces mixed bomber four-pack

March 25, 2014Keith Gribbins

Stone mixed 4 pack
The Stone Mixed 4 Pack. So dark, so mysterious.

Like their names imply, bombers can make a big impact on buyers and markets. Some craft breweries have made these 22-ounce bottled beers an integral part of their packaging selections. New Belgium Brewing Co. comes to mind as having an excellent selection of (cheaply priced!) bombers, which are invading grocery store shelves around the United States. Breweries like Hopping Frog Brewery only distribute in bombers. So here’s an excellent idea for all you craft companies looking to sell more — a bomber variety back — packaged with both classics and new-comers.

Stone Brewing Co. is cognizant of the vast number of craft beer options available in modern-day bottle shops and retailer outlets. It’s a difficult challenge of choosing the right beer to take home and savor. To continue offering craft beer lovers an easier, singular yet multifarious option, the craft beer company has introduced a variety pack containing four 22-ounce beers, dubbed the Stone Mixed 4 Pack.

“We know our fans have a variety of tastes and might want to enjoy a sampling of styles instead of committing to a single case offering,” said Todd Karnig, Stone vice president of sales, in a press release. “We had this in mind when choosing the beers that would make up the Stone Mixed 4 Pack and think it will be a great choice for people who want to mix things up.”

Starting last week, fans in select markets could purchase the Stone Mixed 4 Pack, featuring 2014 Stone Imperial Russian Stout, Stone IPA, Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Black IPA and Arrogant Bastard Ale. 2014 Stone Imperial Russian Stout will be included in the Stone Mixed 4 Pack and made available an entire week prior to its national release. This is the first time ever that Stone has pre-released a special release beer to fans. This set of 22-ounce beers makes up the inaugural version of the Stone Mixed 4 Pack; future editions will be introduced on a quarterly basis and include one special-release beer in addition to three year-round releases.
