September 6, 2013Jason Morgan

Craft Brewing Business is pleased to raise a pint to the The Veteran Beer Co., which entered into formal distribution agreements with distributors in Illinois and Indiana, the first two states in the company’s national roll-out plan. Monarch Beverage Co., headquartered in Indianapolis, and the Flyer Beverage Co., headquartered in suburban Chicago, become the Veteran Beer Co.’s first distributors.

Veteran Beer Company Partners with Distributor
The Veteran Beer Co. is committed to becoming the preeminent beverage manufacturing company in America, inspired by the traditions and principles of the United States military, with a 100-percent Veteran employee force in a diverse and accepting community.

The Veteran Beer Co., established by disabled combat military veterans, is dedicated to providing lives of quality for military veterans through the creation of meaningful post-service careers. The company produces, sells and delivers beers of superior quality, striving to employ veterans in every role within the organization and the supply chain while adhering to the highest principles of military service, conducting business with integrity, courage and loyalty.

“Even in Monarch’s long-established history, I can’t think of another product that has stirred the passion of our employees like the Veteran Beer Co.,” said John Xenos, the general manager of Monarch Beverage Co. “Their product is exceptional, their story is amazing, and their people are inspirational.”

“This is an important day for Flyer Beverage and for the beer industry in America,” added Ken Houbolt, Flyer Beverage’s president. “To be able to add a brand like the Veteran Beer Co. to our already noteworthy portfolio is an honor. My feeling is that we’re here for the Nov. 11 launch of the next national brand in our industry.”

The Veteran Beer Co. is committed to becoming the preeminent beverage manufacturing company in America, inspired by the highest traditions and principles of the United States military and dedicated to the comprehensive transformation, achievement and growth of its 100-percent veteran employee force in a diverse and accepting community.

Paul Jenkins, the Veteran Beer Co.’s founder was effervescent in his praise for his distributor partners: “If I closed my eyes and imagined all the traits I’d like to have in our distributors, I couldn’t come up with a better pair of companies than Flyer and Monarch. Monarch impressed me from the moment we met. I’ve never seen a better operation, and am perfectly thrilled to have them as partners. Flyer represents the spirit of the Veteran Beer Co. brand so completely it’s as if they were created to grow alongside us in our home (Illinois) market.”

Both distributors are committed to the mission of hiring veterans. “That was the first step, to get the buy-in that the goal is to employ Veterans. Monarch and Flyer wholeheartedly embrace the objective without reservation.”

Flyer Beverage Co. will distribute the Veteran Beer Co. products in Chicago and the surrounding counties while Monarch Beverage Co. will sell the products throughout the entire state of Indiana.

The Veteran Beer Co.’s first hand-crafted products, The Veteran (lager) and Blonde Bomber (blonde ale) will be released to retailers for sale in Illinois and Indiana on Nov. 11.
