Watch: Boise Brewing starts bottling in 22-ounce bombers

January 26, 2016Chris Crowell

We seem to talk a lot about canning, but bottles are still pretty cool, too. This is especially true when a growing craft brewery takes its first plunge into retail distribution— we’re looking at you, Boise Brewing. Yes this Idaho brewer did things the old fashioned way, building its own bottling line, creating its labeling and has just started filling up some 22-ouncers with its core lineup.

From Boise Brewing’s blog:

“Until now, our beer has only been available on draft in bars and restaurants in the area. We are really excited to have packaged beer that our customers can take home and enjoy at their leisure. And the fact that we’re able to have an award-winning beer be part of our release is something we’re really proud of.” – Collin (Owner)

The Hip Check IPA and Snowboarder Porter will be available at select Albertsons grocery stores (late January) and other local bottle shops in the weeks to come.

“We decided to lead off our first foray into bottles with Hip Check IPA and Snowboarder Porter. Hip Check is our top selling beer, making it a natural choice; after all, this is the Northwest and IPA’s aren’t going away any time soon. The decision to go with the Snowboarder Porter came from listening to our community as they really enjoy that beer. As a community driven brewery, we really take to heart what our friends and customers have to say.” – Zack (Sales Manager)
