New Hampshire launching statewide craft beer marketing initiative

January 6, 2014Chris Crowell

New Hampshire sign
New Hampshire craft beer industry is on the rise.

New Hampshire is working hard to make its mark on the craft brewing landscape.  In that effort, the state’s beer distributors and breweries are teaming up to launch BrewNH, a 501(c)(6) non-profit marketing cooperative effort, to grow New Hampshire’s beer economy.

“By partnering with the NH’s Travel & Tourism & Economic Development divisions and other industry stakeholders, we plan to raise awareness of all the state has to offer via our website and collaborative social media marketing,” the group stated in its launch press release. “Our coordinated efforts aim to drive economic development within both the NH beer industry and the greater hospitality and tourist sectors of our economy. “

BrewNH is holding a launch event Jan. 7 at Smuttynose Brewing Co. in Hampton, N.H. Maggie Hassan, along with representatives from the N.H. Department of Resources and Economic Development and the Department of Travel and Tourism, and industry leaders will be speaking.

The press event will also double as a sneak peek at the new, state-of-the-art Smuttynose brewery, which will be a beer tourism destination when it opens in early 2014.
