Watch: Brewers Association dude cheers all 7,300 indie brewers, maybe sets world record (listen for yours!)

July 8, 2019Keith Gribbins

I am intrigued by only the most ridiculous world records — the longest pizza (love it), the most straws in some dummy’s mouth (ok, I guess) or that creepy, longest fingernails lady (if you’re brave, watch her jiggle them).

These are all admirable and important accomplishments — perhaps the most important in their weirdly specific genres that have ever been recorded and then officially verified by an organization that’s named after a wonderfully delicious Irish beer brand. Yet, all that zaniness pales in comparison to what Issac does above.

As part of a 4th of July campaign to grow awareness of independent craft beer (by this definition), the Brewers Association streamed an attempt of the world record for the longest cheers ever, toasting all 7,300 small and independent U.S. craft breweries. It’s basically four hours long, so be sure to watch every single part of it.

This world record breaking attempt was just one part of a bigger social media campaign this past holiday weekend to support independent craft beer and grow brand awareness of the Brewers Association’s independent seal campaign.
