Canadian craft breweries will now have access to some of the most flexible and safe pipes in the industry.

Team Canada just got a little more impressive. We may have stolen Michael J. Fox, Wayne Gretzky and Wolverine, but suitable replacements have been found. For starters, Aquatherm Canada recently announced that two new distributors and three new “agents” have joined the progressive polypropylene piping company, which helps breweries build their infrastructure.

Wolseley Canada has joined the company as a distributor for Alberta, effective immediately, while Independent Mechanical Supply Inc. has joined as a distributor for Ontario. JBM Sales Agency Ltd. is a new agent for the Atlantic Canada region, while Walmar Mechanical Sales and Key to the North Sales Agency Inc. are agents for Ontario.

According to Aquatherm V.P. of Sales-Canada Don Schneider, the inclusion of new distributors and agents in Alberta, Ontario, and the Atlantic region represents a significant addition to the polypropylene piping company’s presence in the provinces. “Bringing distributors and agents like these on board changes the equation in the provinces and provides our customers with even more excellent options in the marketplace,” he said. “We are truly excited about these new partnerships and look forward to working with such established and respected businesses.”

Now, Canadian craft breweries will have access to some of the most flexible and safe pipes in the industry. Aquatherm’s polypropylene does not react with water or glycol, so it will never corrode in cooling systems. It does not become brittle over time or fail when exposed to extreme temperatures. It is freeze-resistant, and it can handle 180° F water at 100 psi, so it’s ideal for heating systems. Traditional piping materials use either foreign substances (glue or solder) or mechanical connections (gaskets or threads) to hold a system together, and these connections eventually fail. Aquatherm pipes are connected via heat fusion, which is a fast, reliable process that makes seamless, leak-free connections.

We could go on, but we suggest you just read this article right here.

Who are these new distributors and agents?

Wolseley Canada is a market leader in the wholesale distribution of PHVAC refrigeration, waterworks, fire protection, pipes, valves and fittings as well as industrial products. It is one of Canada’s largest companies with sales of $1.38 billion. Headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, the company has approximately 2,600 employees and 220 locations coast-to-coast, including 19 branches across Alberta.

Independent Mechanical Supply Inc. is a full-line distributor of commercial plumbing, heating, mechanical and electrical products. A relatively new distributor, the company is focused on responsive service with a team of veteran industry personnel; it offers cost-effective, top-quality products while maintaining an “independent” feel. The company is headquartered in Toronto with a second office in Scarborough, Ontario.

Founded in 2001, JBM Sales Agency was created in response to a need for a professional plumbing, heating and industrial manufacturers’ agency in the Atlantic Canada region. The dedicated agency provides proactive sales and marketing services maintained by regular calls at the branch level of wholesale distribution and supported by strong end-user relationships. The agency covers Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.

Backing innovative products with industry expertise since 1973, Walmar Mechanical Sales Ltd. is a leading heating and plumbing manufacturers’ representative serving eastern Ontario and western Quebec. In business for more than 40 years, the company provides valuable technical, educational and marketing support. It takes pride in being a service-first organization that assists customers in a professional manner at all times.

In operation for approximately 30 years, Key to the North Sales Agency Inc. is located in Sudbury, Ontario. Owner/operator Paul Berardi, formerly a power plant stationary engineer, recently bought the business. The company represents the following product lines: Viessmann Manufacturing, Apollo Valves, Security Chimney, and Hydronic Alternatives.
