Check out this electronic temperature controller for freezers and fermenters

Foxx Controller
This module can be used to create kegerators and fermentation chambers.

Foxx Equipment specializes in beer-dispensing equipment parts, but some of its OEM components actually can be used in the brewing process. The A419 Electronic Temperature Control is a good example. Affectionately called “The Controller,” it’s a single-stage electronic temperature control module with pre-wired cords that use plug and receptacle ends, providing for quick and simple installation.

The Controller is perfect for setting optimum brewing temperatures, and according to Foxx Equipment, brewers have been asking for a digital version for years. Here are some quick highlights:

  • Has both heating and cooling modes
  • Installs in just minutes
  • Works with refrigerators or freezers
  • Can be used to create kegerators and fermentation chambers

The Controller features a lockable, three-button touchpad for setup and adjustment and a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), which displays the sensed temperature and other control functions. A front panel Light-Emitting Diode (LED) indicates the output relay status. The control has a setpoint range of -30 to 212°F (-34 to 100°C) and is available in 120 VAC models. The A419 control has heating and cooling modes with adjustable set point and differential, an adjustable anti-short cycle delay and a temperature offset (setback) function.

When connected to a refrigerator, it turns the compressor on when the ambient temperature goes above the programmed temperature. When connected to a heater, it activates when the temperature is too low. Learn more by visiting www.foxxequipment.com.
