Enjoy this time-lapse fabrication of a fully automated, 50-bbl brewhouse from Paul Mueller

September 20, 2017Keith Gribbins

At the Paul Mueller Co., they still make products with their hands. Just watch this time-lapse video. At its Springfield, Mo., headquarters, employees fabricate a fully automated, 50-bbl brewhouse like a giant jigsaw puzzle, handling every piece. The company likens its workforce to dedicated artisans, making unique and high-quality products in small quantities (by hand), using time tested techniques and skills. The Paul Mueller Co. has expertise in all types of industries — from dairy and wine to crude oil and pharmaceutical. The company took its first order for brewery equipment in 1963. One year later, Paul Mueller Co. began manufacturing beer fermentation and aging vessels for brewing facilities across America. Over the years, master brewers large and small from around the world have been relying on the technical expertise and innovative engineering of Paul Mueller. Watch the video above to see their artisan skills in action — very quick action.
