Beer delivery platform TapRm expands to 32 states

For those keeping score in the beer delivery / eCommerce wars, TapRm is a beer distribution platform designed for breweries, retailers and consumers. It combines licensed verticals to launch e-commerce-focused brands in new markets as distributor, retailer, e-commerce store and delivery courier, and then the company shares customer data back to the brands to enable them to make better decisions.

And until now, it was only available in New York (sometimes by robot).

That’s right, last week TapRm announced it is now shipping over 200 brands, including some of the most innovative beverages in the industry to 32 states.

What’s cool about it?

TapRm builds relationships with the brands on its platform “to give consumers an inside look at the brands they are supporting to give brand founders the tools and infrastructure to focus primarily on what they do best,” founder Jason Sherman tells us. “Engaging with TapRm enables consumers to join a community of people who are all looking to discover new brands, try new products, and interact with others who are equally interested in finding products they will love. We are building a platform that is inclusive and welcoming to all drinkers whether you are a beer cicerone or a drinker who has never ventured beyond light lagers.”

Customers of the new TapRm U.S. site can expect 1-5 day shipping depending on delivery location with a selection of over 200 brands shipped to 32 states. While shipping may be pricier than normal, TapRm is actively working on onboarding new partners to bring down the cost, city by city. At the moment, free shipping is available for purchases over $150.

Last year, TapRm announced it had raised $1.5 million to expand its business. The Broe Group, a privately owned, multibillion-dollar value investment group with diversified holdings in 37 North American states and provinces, led the round, and VU Venture Partners, Branded Strategic Hospitality and others joined.
