January 14, 2014Chris Crowell

Deschutes Brewery hired Eddie Anderson as its new market sales manager for the states of Ohio and Kentucky. The company will be formally launching in both states later in January, releasing four of its most popular beers and holding special tasting events across the region. In his new position, Anderson will be responsible for solidifying Deschutes Brewery’s new presence in Ohio and Kentucky by working closely with the distributor for the region, while also managing relationships with accounts and staff. He is based in Ohio.

“Eddie has already been working in this region for several months and has established fantastic relationships,” said Stacy Denbow, expansion manager for Deschutes Brewery. “We are so pleased that he has joined our team to help grow our presence in these important markets, while creating opportunities for growth and education. We’re looking forward to all hanging out together later this month for our formal launch in both states.”

In his position as senior market manager for Deschutes Brewery, Anderson will be working closely with Heidelberg Distributing Company’s Rampant Brands Division in managing Deschutes Brewery brands. He will be responsible for managing area team members, establishing and monitoring performance goals and providing strategic sales management for the region.

Anderson most recently served as division sales manager for Craft Brew Alliance, managing wholesalers in Ohio and Indiana. Prior to that, he was regional sales director for Goose Island Beer Company in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a Cicerone Beer Server.

Deschutes Brewery now ships beer to 23 states and around the world from its main brewing facility located on the banks of the Deschutes River.
