Former Ace Beverage Co. VP Phil Jamison joins Golden Road Brewing

October 24, 2013Jason Morgan

As Golden Road Brewing continues its expansion throughout Southern California, former Vice President and General Manager of Ace Beverage Co. Phil Jamison joins Golden Road as executive vice president of sales and marketing, lending his expertise in building a dedicated sales force and providing infrastructure, distribution guidance and marketing support to the growing craft brewery.

Golden Road BrewingInspired by Golden Road Brewing’s mission to bring fresh craft beer to Los Angeles, Jamison took a meeting with the young brand, building a relationship between Ace Beverage and Golden Road that later grew to become their top distribution partnership. While Jamison’s experience comes largely from Anheuser Busch prior to joining Ace, his favorite projects have included creating the infrastructure necessary for craft breweries to flourish within the big beer houses on Anderson Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Now at Golden Road Brewing, Jamison will apply his many years of experience as the brewery prepares for another year of triple digit growth in 2014 and beyond.

“It is a very special honor to join the passionate team at Golden Road Brewing,” Jamison said. “I am extremely excited to get started and look forward to building upon the success that they have already established within the current market and beyond.”

Co-founder Meg Gill commented, “Phil has been my top adviser in sales and marketing for nearly three years in founding Golden Road. We are so happy to have him and thankful for John Anderson’s endorsement of the move and smooth transition.”

“Our teams are young, passionate, hungry and now excited about the creativity and expertise Phil brings to the table,” added Co-founder Tony Yanow. “He is the perfect leader to add new systems and more structure to our organization and help build Golden Road into a great regional brewery.”

“It is a very special honor to join the passionate team at Golden Road Brewing,” Jamison said. “I am extremely excited to get started, and look forward to building upon the success that they have already established within the current market and beyond.”

Golden Road Brewing was founded in October 2011 by Tony Yanow and Meg Gill and produced Los Angeles’ first canned craft beer, offering 16 ounce ‘honest pint’ cans of their flagship Golden Road Hefeweizen and Point the Way IPA. Golden Road currently produces more than 20 beers which include a Custom IPA series and limited seasonal releases.
