Delaware is known as the “First State” (on December 7, 1787, it became the first to ratify the U.S. Constitution). For Founders Brewing Co., it will be the 44th state to see the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based brewing brand’s distribution. Founders recently announced that it had partnered with Standard Distributing Co. to bring their beer to Delaware, thus completing coverage of the eastern seaboard of the country.

Residents can expect to find Founders’ year-round, seasonal and specialty lineup in bottles, cans (as applicable) and kegs beginning in May 2017. Select limited release beers, including those from the Barrel-Aged Series, may also be available at craft retailers following the launch.

“Standard Distributing Co. is very excited to be selected as the exclusive Delaware wholesaler of Founders Brewing Co.,” said Standard Distributing President, Steve Tigani.“Founders is a great addition to Standard’s craft brand selections. We are very proud to partner with such a fine company and look forward to great success in the Delaware market.”

Beer will start shipping in April, with the retail release beginning in early May. Launch events will take place the week of May 8. Visit foundersbrewing.com/events for more information.

“Outside of our Midwestern markets, the Eastern seaboard was one of the first places we reached out to with our brand,” said Co-Founder and CEO Mike Stevens. “After years of fan inquiries, Delaware will be the final state of this great region added and we are excited to put an exclamation point on what has been one hell of a journey. Thank you, Delaware, and we will see you soon.”
