Here are Hi-Wire Brewing’s big opening distribution plans for Ohio

February 21, 2017Pretty Much a Press Release

Hi-Wire-Brewing

Hi-Wire Brewing just launched distribution in the entire state of Ohio on Feb. 19 with roll-out events scheduled through March 3 in Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton.

Hi-Wire will be launching Ohio with their entire portfolio, including year-round, seasonal, specialty, and sour beers. For distribution, Hi-Wire has partnered with Premium Beverage Supply, a 100% craft and import beer and cider wholesaler based out of Columbus, Ohio, for statewide coverage.

Your CBB pals are based out of Cleveland, so we are high-fiving each other as we speak. We know it’s a good call, but let’s hear Hi-Wire explain the move.

“Ohio has a good number of retailers that prioritize craft beer sales and putting new brands in front of their customers,” says Chris Lutkowski, Director of Sales for Hi-Wire Brewing. “Regardless of whether or not it’s the bar down the street or the large box retailer that covers the country, the retailers take pride in understanding what the consumers want and what they are willing to try.”

Located in Asheville, N.C., Hi-Wire Brewing is known for producing approachable and balanced ales and lagers, most notably Hi-Wire Lager, Bed of Nails Brown, and Hi-Pitch IPA. They have two locations in Asheville: the 27,000 square foot Big Top Production Facility & Taproom located half a mile from the Biltmore Estate and the South Slope Specialty Brewery & Taproom located in the South Slope region of downtown with a focus on wild and sour ales.

Bigger plans on the horizon

Ohio is one of three projected new markets Hi-Wire Brewing plans to launch in 2017, which is part of a larger plan to grow sales by 60% this year. Co-owner of Hi-Wire Brewing, Chris Frosaker, notes “the launch of Ohio is an exciting new step for Hi-Wire and North Carolina made beer in general. Ohio is a top-five craft beer state, and its beer drinkers have more commonly been making Asheville a must-visit location. We are honored to be able to “export Asheville” to these amazing beer markets.”

Let’s celebrate!

To celebrate the launch of Hi-Wire’s brews in Ohio, craft beer drinkers will be able to join the owners and sales team of Hi-Wire Brewing at a variety of tap takeovers, beer pairings and other specialty events throughout each market over the next two weeks. Here’s a sampling of the events. Check out Hi-Wire’s social media for more announcements:
