NBWA announces Share Your Story contest highlighting beer distribution employees

February 19, 2018Pretty Much a Press Release

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) recently announced the return of the Share Your Story contest for beer distribution employees who have never attended NBWA’s Legislative Conference.

“This contest helps highlight some of the 135,000 men and women who make up the beer distribution industry — from truck drivers, inventory specialists and graphic artists to sales representatives, warehouse workers and administrative personnel,” said NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser. “In communities across the country, beer distributors are building beer brands, generating unprecedented consumer choice and boosting local economies.”

The winner will receive a complimentary trip to the 2018 NBWA Legislative Conference April 22-25 in Washington, D.C., and will learn about policy issues impacting the beer industry, visit Capitol Hill and meet with members of Congress, as well as network with fellow distributors from across the country.

Here is how beer distribution employees can enter the Share Your Story Contest:

  • Like NBWA’s Facebook page.
  • Fill out the Share Your Story Contest entry form on NBWA’s Facebook page. Provide an on-the-job photo, company information and a short explanation of why they love working in the beer distribution industry. Details may include what they do, how long they have worked in the industry and how their career began. Other details may include how their company positively impacts their community and any colorful stories that paint a picture of the vibrant jobs in the beer distribution industry.
  • Share your story! Extra consideration will be given to entrants who share their submission on Twitter and Instagram. On Twitter, entrants should tag @NBWABeer #MyBeerStory. On Instagram, tag @FollowYourBeer #MyBeerStory.

The deadline for entries is March 14, 2018. The winner will be notified by March 21, 2018.

“The NBWA Legislative Conference is a great opportunity for the men and women on the frontlines of beer distribution to learn about issues impacting the industry, and members of Congress enjoy hearing directly from their constituents who can describe firsthand the impact of the beer distribution business in the communities where they live and work,” Purser said.
