We profiled the launch of San Diego-based Scout Distribution lats month. It’s a new craft-focused beer distributor that wants to change the brand model, saying it will work directly with the brands on the development of their local, regional and national market plans. One of its first brands it brought to market was story-based brewery 32 North Brewing Company.

“We started as a one-man show, shipping beer out of the brewery in a van and servicing our accounts with a small, but hard-working sales team, and while we’re proud of the footprint we’ve made over the past four years, we are continually looking for new ways to expand in a competitive and ever-growing market,” said Steve Peterson, owner of 32 North Brewing Company.

The collaboration kicked off mid October and the brewery says it is already bringing forth positive exposure and is slated to extend the organization’s reach before year’s end.

“Our desire to grow, aligned with Scout’s deep and established relationships in the craft-beer community, seemed like the perfect fit,” Peterson said. “Their team has already done, and will continue to do, a fantastic job of taking care of our current accounts while focusing on bringing new partners into the fold for both our brand and the portfolio. We look forward to seeing what 2019 has in store.”
