Ohio Craft Brewers Association warms up Cleveland with Winter Warmer Fest

February 8, 2013Jason Morgan

Being based in Northeast Ohio, Craft Brewing Business knows that winters in Cleveland get cold. We also know that the region is booming with craft beer goodness. To warm up the short, cold Ohio days, the Ohio Craft Brewers Association is hosting its seventh annual Winter Warmer Fest.

Lake-effect snow, sub-zero temperatures — trust us, Cleveland gets cold in the winter. But nothing warms you up like craft beer. That’s why we’re excited about the Winter Warmer Fest.

“This much-anticipated annual craft beer showcase and fundraiser for the Ohio Craft Brewers Association returns to Windows on the River in the Flats,” the association announced on its website. “Ohio’s great breweries will be sampling their winter and cask-conditioned beers, rare releases, big brews and other popular beers, with live entertainment provided by blues artist Austin Walkin’ Cane.”

The Brew Kettle, Fat Head’s Brewery, Great Lakes Brewing Co., Hoppin’ Frog Brewery, Thirsty Dog Brewing Co., Ohio Brewing Co. and many others will be on-hand to serve up their latest and greatest brews. Tickets are $35 and include a souvenir glass, 20 taste tickets for 4-oz samples and one lunch ticket. Designated Driver tickets are available for $12 each and include one lunch ticket and non-alcoholic beverage. For more details, check out the Winter Warmer Fest’s Eventbrite page.

The Ohio Craft Brewers Association was founded as a not-for-profit organization in 2008 to unify the Ohio brewing community, market Ohio manufactured beers throughout the state and beyond, and monitor and promote a strong beer industry in Ohio. Now more than 25 members strong, the Ohio Craft Brewers Association also organizes statewide events that showcase the rich brewing industry and stellar beers being produced in Ohio.
