Pass or Fail: The TV Tap, because we all need more screens to stare at

October 9, 2015Jason Morgan

TV Tap Craft BeerEver pour a beer and think, “I really wish I could watch old episodes of ‘Charles in Charge’ on this beer tap?” No? Just me? For those of us who like to dream BIG, there’s the TV Tap. The electronic TV Tap can be customized to show images as a still picture or slideshow format and can also play videos. Your beer logos, pictures and videos can be loaded onto the removable memory card or downloaded with a standard USB cable, making the tap your own creation. Different display options such as high bright and wide viewing angles are available. Multiple features can be added like an option for counting the number of pours from the handle. The manufacturer, Lincoln Technology, touts that the tap’s moving media is eye catching, offering it as a new way to connect with customers and get your beer noticed while offering your brand a chance to separate from the pack and relay additional information to potential consumers.

Jokes aside, it looks like a cool way to set your beers apart in your tasting room or brewpub. So what say you craft brewers — would you tap the moving picture technology of the TV Tap? Sound off in the comments below.
