Meet the small, semi-automated craft beer label applicators from Primera

August 9, 2017Chris Crowell

If you’re just starting to package your beers, you’ll want a small-scale, easy-to-use solution that won’t tax your staff but also churn out consistent applications. Primera’s AP-Series Label Applicators are one such semi-automatic labeling solution for cylindrical containers we just learned about that handles a variety of tapered containers, such as bottles and cans.

The Primera team breaks down setup and operation like this:

  • Set the guides
  • Place your container in the machine
  • Press the footswitch, and your label is applied

The built-in spring-loaded pressure arm makes sure labels are applied firmly and without wrinkles. AP-Series Label Applicators are built to complement Primera’s LX- or CX-Series label printers. The applicators can also apply roll-fed, pressure-sensitive labels produced by most other flexographic, offset and digital presses.
