Braxton Brewing expands distribution into Cincinnati (and debuts cool video)

September 9, 2015Chris Crowell

Watching a local brewery start to slowly spread its wings outside its initial footprint is pretty cool. For Covinton, Ky.-based Braxton Brewing Co., that next small step will be across the river into Cincinnati beginning Sept. 10. The brewery had previously only distributed in Northern Kentucky with the exception of Great American Ballpark.

Braxton Brewing“The addition of our new fermenters have paved the way for this growth into the Cincinnati market,” said Evan Rouse, Co-Founder and Head Brewer. “Our brewing team is extremely excited to bring to life new beers for the Greater Cincinnati market!”

The company will continue its focus on Northern Kentucky while also expanding into new bars and restaurants via draft in Ohio. The brewing company is confident it can bring unique styles and incredible, high quality craft beer into the Cincinnati craft beer scene. Braxton will continue its partnership with Stagnaro Distributing in the Cincinnati Market.

“This is an incredibly exciting time for us as a company as we look to finally move into Cincinnati,” said Jake Rouse, Braxton’s Co-Founder and CEO. “From day one we wanted to be on both sides of the river, and now, we can finally fulfill that goal!”

Born in a garage, Braxton believes in the hard work and creativity that is happening in “The New Midwest.” Greater Cincinnati, a city that prides herself on history and innovation, is a natural home for a company that believes that the Garage can be a hub for innovation.

To further illustrate this story, the company has partnered with Neltner Small Batch, Brian Steege, and Tate Webb to document the starting of the brewery with an awesome video titled Born in the Garage (see below).

“We keep the Braxton Brand focused on the strength of where it all started and it’s a guide for everything we create,” said Keith Neltner of Neltner Small Batch. “For example, ‘Born in the Garage’ is a three minute film, no words, beautiful sound design, and stunning imagery that delivers an intense emotional narrative. We’re proud of the next chapter: Ohio.”

Co-Founders Evan Rouse, Greg Rouse, and Jake Rouse were born and raised in Northern Kentucky and have long called Cincinnati home. Co-Founder and Brewmaster Richard Dube has called Cincinnati home for 17 years. With this, the team is excited to expand distribution in their “hometown.”
