Carbotek hits UK market to stabilize beer at the point of dispense

February 26, 2015Chris Crowell

The arrival of Carbotek in the UK marks an alternative to the traditional keg as an invention superior in cost, green credentials and taste.

Carbotek dispensingPreviously invented, designed and patented in Germany, it has now hit the UK as an alternative delivery and dispensing method. Simply, Carbotek takes beer and stabilizes it so that it can be brought back to life at the point of dispense when served directly to the customer. CO2 is removed at the brewery, the beer is packaged into bags, distributed and then infused with C02 at the tap.

Carbotek says its technology prevents product deterioration resulting in up to three weeks connected shelf life. Simple and easy to handle, the device is lightweight, meaning low energy emissions, boasts zero waste, with no need for temperature controlled storage (minimising stock holding costs) and the packaging is 100% recyclable.
