Drinks Americas, Tryon Distributing team to bring Mexican beer to North Carolina

December 18, 2013Chris Crowell

Drinks Americas, a U.S. broker for authentic Mexican craft beers, recently promoting Day of the Dead Craft Beer, announced another state-wide distribution deal with North Carolina’s Tryon Distributing, an established premier beer distributor.

“I am amazed at how quickly it went into the market. We received Day of the Dead Craft Beer on Oct. 24 and in five sales days we had more than 400 cases in over 100 accounts. We are very excited to have the brand,” stated Brad Johnston, President of Tryon Distributing.

Tryon Distributing was formed in 1985 by two men with an idea. The idea was to create a company that would distribute high quality wines to a select group of customers in the Charlotte area.  Headquartered in Charlotte, Tryon Distributing now services the entire state from a 92,000 square foot air conditioned distribution center. Most customers enjoy next day delivery on the company-owned fleet of temperature controlled trucks. Tryon Distributing employs professionals who are committed to delivering premium quality alcoholic beverages to a growing customer base.

Tryon’s big expansion occurred throughout 2002 and 2003 when Tryon purchased four other distributors. Today, Tryon Distributing, headquartered in Charlotte, employs approximately 200 employees who work across the entire state of North Carolina.

“We at Tryon are very excited about representing a craft brewery from Mexico such a Day of the Dead. The package catches the eye and the liquid pleases the taste buds,” said Chris Angel, Beer Brand Manager, Tryon Distributing.
