Dust Bowl Brewing signs on with Craft Beer Distribution Co.

February 24, 2016Chris Crowell

Dust Bowl Brewing
Dust Bowl Brewing Co. announces the addition of the aptly titled Craft Beer Distribution Co. to its growing list of distributor partners. Located in Arcata, Calif., Craft Beer Distribution Co. serves Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, allowing Dust Bowl Brewing Co.’s products to reach upper Northern California. To begin, the company will sell Dust Bowl’s flagship IPA, Hops of Wrath, along with other year-rounds, Hobo Pilsner and Therapist Imperial IPA.

“It’s an exciting time at Dust Bowl Brewing Co.,” said Brett Tate, founder and owner. “We’re months away from our new brewery completion and have our eyes on expanded distribution. Signing with Craft Beer Distribution Company was something we could do now with current production since they serve a niche area of Northern California. We’re confident they will be great promoters of our brand.”

Owned by a duo of Humboldt State University graduates, Evan and Megan Schwartz, Craft Beer Distribution Co. welcomes the Dust Bowl brand into its own growing business.

“We’re a beverage distributor that caters to craft and does not have a portfolio dominated by big industry,” Evans said. “We believe Dust Bowl Brewing is a great match for us – their line-up includes a wide range of hoppy beers, which Humboldt customers love. We look forward to growing our on-premise presence with the established Dust Bowl brand.”

With the addition of Craft Beer Distribution Company, Dust Bowl Brewing Co. now has six distributors serving Northern California. The company broke ground on a new brewery in Turlock in April 2015 and expects to be brewing and packaging at the new site in May of this year. Production is expected to grow from 5,500 barrels annually to 17,000, with broader distribution throughout California.
