Utah-based Epic Brewing announced its expansion into the San Diego market with a line of 25 beers. Epic Brewing has been in the L.A. and Orange County area for just over a year.

Distribution in San Diego and the rest of southern California will be handled by Incline Beverages located in Santa Clarita, Calif. Incline is a unique beverage distributor, specializing in craft beer with a fully refrigerated warehouse and delivery.
“We are thrilled to be launching our beers in San Diego,” said Epic co-founder David Cole. “I have a very special connection with San Diego and can’t wait to drink some Epic’s around the county next time I visit.”
It is kind of a homecoming for Cole and co-founder Peter Erickson who graduated from San Diego State University and University of California — San Diego, respectively.
The San Diego launch will take place over the course of several days, from May 20 through May 23. Epic’s National Sales Manager Michael Malachowski will be in attendance at the events.
- The first event will take place at the Encinitas Ale House on May 20 at 4 p.m., with several different Epic brews available on draft.
- On May 21 at 5 p.m., Epic representatives will be at SD TapRoom with five brews on tap;
- On May 22 at 4 p.m., The Public House La Jolla will host a tap takeover;
- On May 23 at 5 p.m., Churchill’s Pub and Grille will be serving 10 different beers on draft.
“We are excited about expanding the California market,” Malachowski said. “San Diego is a great market and we are confident that the craft beer population will embrace the beers.”
