KeyKeg took part in the Ameristar awards competition, one of the most famous packaging competitions in North America, and the company announced that the KeyKeg 20 Slimline won in the ‘alcoholic drinks’ category.

The jury for the Ameristar award is made up of packaging experts and consumers. Entries were judged the entries on such criteria as innovation, sustainability, protection, marketing and efficiency.
“We’re continually following what’s going on in the total supply chain,” said KeyKeg’s CEO Jan Veenendaal. “We innovate by carefully looking and listening. This is how we stay aware of the wishes and the needs In the total supply chain: from the brewer or winemaker to the distributor to the bar and consumer. We have an extensive R&D program to turn those wishes into new products. We see the Ameristar award as proof that this innovation policy is bearing fruit.”
That makes six awards KeyKeg has taken home since 2008:

- Ameristar award 2011 (Baseline)
- Netherlands ‘Horeca’ award 2010
- Worldstar award 2010
- Ameristar award 2013 (Slimline)
