The team behind Dogfish Head’s record-breaking bottling line

June 24, 2013Keith Gribbins

The right bottling and canning line needs more than the right equipment. It needs a diehard packaging crew to run it smoothly, efficiently and enthusiastically. It’s a point perfectly illustrated in this excellent Dogfish Head Craft Brewery video that introduces us to the team behind the bottling line, which continues to break records for the brewhouse.

“It’s still a very manual process in a lot of ways,” explained Patrick Staggs in the video, director of operations at Dogfish Head. “So, these guys really need to work to get the line where we want it to be.” Each part of the craft brewing process takes a team effort, even automated systems like bottling and packaging. To learn how one of the nation’s top craft brewhouses organizes its bottling line crew, watch the video above and break some records of your own.

Enter a lottery for the privilege to buy Dogfish Head’s $395 UBER growler (its Steampunk Treehouse design is admittedly badass)
