Flat12 sets a Deflator Doppelbock sneak release for Patriots vs. Colts game

September 2, 2015Jason Morgan

Flat12 has been hard at work brewing up something special for the upcoming Colts vs. Patriots game on Oct. 18. The brewery announced the upcoming release of Deflator Doppelbock. Deflator is a limited fall release, and unlike Tom Brady’s soft balls, this beer is robust and full-bodied. It’s packed with pure malty, toasty goodness.

Brewmaster Sean Manahan announced his plans to create the Deflategate-inspired beer back in May: “It was in the plan to release a Doppelbock this fall, so back in May I had the idea to brew this beer in honor of our least favorite #12, hence #Deflator. The Doppelbock style is traditionally identified with an -ator suffix, so it made sense.” said Manahan.

To launch the new beer, Flat12 will be hosting the ultimate tailgate at the brewery for the Oct. 18 Colts vs. Patriots game. Smoking Goose Meatery will have amazing grill-ready meats, plus they’re bringing out their smoker for tasty treats. Those in the area looking to attend just need to bring a grill, tailgate supplies, grab a pint and chill-out and grill out in the beer garden. Pre-game coverage, free play ping pong and cornhole are sure to keep you entertained. Flat12 is also extending hours and will show the big game on the big screen.

If you’re lucky enough to have tickets, don’t let the the air out of your good time by worrying about driving to the stadium or parking— Flat12 has your covered. The brewery has partnered with Indy Brew Bus to shuttle you and your group to the stadium with return trip to Flat12.

If that weren’t enough, Flat12 will be hosting free tailgates for every Colts game, all season long.
