Marketing idea of the week: March First Brewing’s week of mini festivals

February 24, 2022Chris Crowell

March First Brewing

March First Brewing in Sycamore Township, Ohio, is celebrating five years in business this week by revisiting some of their favorite annual festivals all over one weekend, leading up to their actual anniversary on March 1. Each day there will be special taproom releases, music and even a pig roast on Saturday.

It’s a fun idea that reflects back on all that makes the brand what it is, and gives fans a day to hone in on the flavors and releases that they like best.

“The idea behind this five year celebration is for us to celebrate everything that March First has to offer. We take pride in being one of the only places in Cincinnati that makes beer, cider, hard seltzer and spirits. This series of mini festivals will allow people to pick their favorite part of what we do and celebrate with us.” said Josh Engel, Marketing Director for March First Brewing. “We have had such a great 5 years and want to thank all of our friends, family and customers. We’re looking forward to what the future holds for March First and our family of brands. We’re just getting started”

Friday Feb 25, Proofed Craft Spirits Festival – March First will be celebrating everything Cincinnati Distilling related with special tastings, cocktails and more.

Saturday Feb 26, Ciderpalooza – Easily the biggest festival March First throws every year celebrating not only their ciders, but others as well. This mini version will feature 5 March First ciders on tap including Bananas Foster, Maple Bourbon, and more. In addition to the regular March First food menu Culinary Director Bhumin Desai will be doing a pig roast.

Sunday Feb 27, Seltzer Smash – A breakout festival from last year returns all day on Sunday featuring some never before seen flavors of March First’s seltzer brand Astra. Flavors include Birthday Cake, Rainbow Sherbet and more. In addition to the flavors on tap March First will also be releasing 6 packs of Astra Crush, an orange soda flavored seltzer for the first time ever.

Monday Feb 28, Stout Blowout – This one is for the stout lovers out there. March First has brewed up some very special stouts for you to try all day including Zebra Cake, Chocolate Chip Cookie dough, Bourbon Orange and Chicory Coffee.

Tuesday March 1, Anniversary Day! March First and Cincinnati Distilling will be releasing a very special bottle of bourbon that was cask finished in barrels used to age their Baltic Porter in. A limited number of bottles will feature a special 5th Anniversary logo.
