The Boise brewing community continues to make Idaho craft strong. The appropriately named Treasure Valley is home to everyone from Kilted Dragon Brewing to Sockeye Brewing to 10 Barrel Brewing Boise. Just jump on the Boise Ale Trail to enjoy them all. One of the best and hardest working would be Payette Brewing Co., which is a production brewery that serves beer on draft throughout Boise and other parts of the Treasure Valley. Founder Mike Francis left the corporate life as an industrial engineer for Boeing Co. in Seattle to start Payette Brewing in 2010, after receiving an associate’s degree in Brewing Technology from Chicago’s Siebel Institute of Technology, followed by a stint at Schooner Exact Brewing Co. in Seattle. In fact, Francis and friends are up every day before the crack of dawn to start brewing delicious Boise craft beer. Watch this video above to get a tour of their facilities and learn what goes into preparing for a long day of craft brewing. Big props to Today’s 6/Fox 9 Idaho for posting.
