Watch these guys from Tröegs Brewing inhale Yakima hops and then riff new recipes

September 19, 2016Keith Gribbins

This video reminds us of being in Oregon two weeks ago, drinking beer that literally had hops floating in it, drifting from the process facility and into our glasses as we toured Rogue Farms in Independence. Visiting and absorbing the Pacific Northwest hop harvest in August or September is truly an inspiring pilgrimage that all beer lovers and beer professionals should someday make. Just ask these brewer dudes from Tröegs Independent Brewing, who went exploring in the hop harvest in Yakima Valley, Wash. “[They] riffed off three recipes just smelling the vines.” While it’s not exactly clear which farm these guys are at, it’s clear they’re in lupulin heaven.
