Watch Rogue Nation President Big Al lead an Amsterdam bar in the Rogue pledge

April 4, 2016Keith Gribbins

We remember last year when Rogue Ales and Spirits‘ President Big Al Jorgensen visited 11 cities for a Rogue Nation tour, recruiting new Rogue Nation citizens across America for the greater good of craft beer. If only our presidential candidates had as much bravado, sincerity and beer knowledge. Each stop always includes an official swear-in by the prez himself. The CBB crew took a similar pledge last year at Rogue Farms and are proud Rogue Nation citizens till this very day.

We noticed that Big Al had taken his campaign overseas recently to Amsterdam — the home turf of brands like Heineken and Amstel. He visited two new Rogue Nation embassies and swore in several new Rogue Nation citizens in the Dutch beer mecca. Just check out the video above. We’ve always thought the Rogue Nation Pledge of Roguellegiance was an innovative marketing strategy to help customers and fans get closer to the Rogue experience. Maybe ask yourself “what unique campaigns is my company using to grow its customer relations?” Then, read the awesome Rogue pledge below.

ROGUE NATION PLEDGE

[Raise your left hand, and hold your beer in your right.]

Four score and eight months ago our fore fathers set forth to build a new brewery dedicated to the proposition that all beers are not created equal. They need not be tasteless or served ice cold to mask the lack of malts and hops. God Bless Brewer, and may John Maier live long and prosper.

I [state your name] am now a member of the Rogue Nation.

Dare, risk and dream. Drink to it!
