Well, two of North Carolina’s largest beer distributors, Caffey Distributing and Carolina Premium Beverage, have created Craft Central, a new division dedicated to the sale, distribution and proliferation of craft beer. Since its launch in November 2014, Craft Central has brought craft brewers such as Ballast Point Brewing Co., Epic Brewing Co., DuClaw Brewing Co. and Olde Hickory Brewery to the Triad and Charlotte region of North Carolina. This is in addition to their portfolio of 18 craft brand, including brands from Foothills Brewing, New Belgium Brewing Co. and SweetWater Brewing Co.

“Craft Central is about more than being a distributor,” said Chris Caffey, president and CEO of Caffey Distributing and Carolina Premium Beverage. “It’s about the culture and beer. We want to educate beer lovers and allow them to have an experience with it. North Carolina has amazing beer culture, and we want to tap into those who are passionate, those who can help us find the best beers from around the world.”

According to the press release:

The mission of Craft Central is to sell beer in a way that’s never been done before by a beer distributor. It is tapping directly into the beer culture to generate excitement, educate new craft beer drinkers and attract new brands. Craft Central is dedicated to its customer’s customer. Craft Central intends to raise the North Carolina beer consumer’s excitement and depth of knowledge. It will do this in several ways, from point-of-sale education, social media initiatives and original craft beer content to tastings, beer festivals and one-of-kind beer experiences. With these efforts combined with Caffey and Carolina Premium Beverages distribution saavy, Craft Central hopes to bring even more craft beer to the area in 2015.

Good luck, guys. At the very least, you certainly have good taste in caps and glassware.
