Great Lakes Brewing signs two New Jersey distribution deals

March 12, 2013Chris Crowell

Great Lakes Brewery 25th Anniversary
Great Lakes beer will be available throughout the Garden State starting in April.

Great Lakes Brewing Co. (GLBC) announced its plan to expand distribution throughout the state of New Jersey in two phases. On April 8, GLBC will enter Central New Jersey with Shore Point Distributing Inc., and on April 22, GLBC will enter Northern New Jersey with Kohler Distributing Co. GLBC currently serves Southern New Jersey, and this two-phase rollout will fill gaps throughout the state. Deeper distribution in the state of New Jersey aligns with the company’s strategic growth plans.

Customers can expect to see GLBC’s year-round family of beers in package and draft, as well as the GLBC Taster’s Pack (a sampler 12-pack). The new market rollout will involve multiple customer appreciation events, meet-and-greets, tastings, and giveaways throughout the area.

GLBC currently serves 13 states and Washington, D.C. Founded in 1988 by brothers Patrick and Daniel Conway as the first craft brewery in the state of Ohio, GLBC is nationally known for its exceptional family of beers including Dortmunder Gold Lager, Eliot Ness Amber Lager, Burning River Pale Ale, Commodore Perry India Pale Ale, and Edmund Fitzgerald Porter.

There’s been a lot going on at Great Lakes these days. Check out our photo exclusive from its renovated room ribbon cutting as well as the news about its 25th anniversary.
