How to professionally fill, seal and clean the perfect growler

September 19, 2013Keith Gribbins

In Feb. 2004, Crescent Crown Distributing, based in New Orleans, tripled its size with the purchase of certain assets of Pearce Beverage LLC — a beer distributorship located in Phoenix. Today, Crescent Crown sells and delivers over 26 million cases annually throughout its distribution territories in Arizona and Louisiana. It even has a World Class Beer division that represents some of the top high end imports and craft brews available, including Abita Brewing Co., Oskar Blues Brewing Co. and lots of local Arizona breweries.

Crescent Crown is an expert at many things — distributing of course — but also many facets of the beer business. For instance, last year a new Arizona Liquor law allowing certain licensed accounts the option to sell and fill beer growlers was made legal. So Crescent Crown, its World Class Beer team and its Draft Department stepped up to explain the professional steps to fill, seal and clean the perfect growler (along with the equipment and chemicals needed). Just watch the video above.

Enter a lottery for the privilege to buy Dogfish Head’s $395 UBER growler (its Steampunk Treehouse design is admittedly badass)
