Saint Archer Brewing announces partnership with Stone Distributing

March 15, 2013Keith Gribbins

Saint Archer and Stone Crew
The Saint Archer and Stone crews celebrated the partnership a few weeks back.

Saint Archer Brewing Co. is coming to a store, restaurant or bar near you in April 2013. Before that happens, let’s say hello to the newest entry in San Diego’s brewing community. Right off the bat, Saint Archer will be bottling, and who will distribute it? The bigwigs of Stone Brewing Co. Saint Archer will be distributed exclusively by the premiere craft beer powerhouse Stone Distributing throughout Southern California. Saint Archer will be launching with a blonde ale, a pale ale and an IPA. All three of these styles will be packaged in 12-ounce bottles, 22-ounce bottles and/or kegs.

A little background on these Saint Archer brewers — they’re a unique group for sure. Josh Landan, president and founder of the upcoming, 17,000-square-foot brewery is an accomplished veteran of the action sports industry, so he pulled together friends, contacts and business partners to make craft beer that he loved — with the help of world-class brewers, artists, musicians, surfers, skateboarders and snowboarders. Hey, why didn’t CBB get the call? Anyways, back to the distribution deal:

“The decision to put the Saint Archer brand in the hands of Stone Distributing was an easy one. They are the best craft beer distributor in the business and understand what is required to properly penetrate and maintain the craft beer market,” said Landan.

Saint Archer is thrilled to be part of the Stone family alongside Maui Brewing Co. and Oskar Blues Brewery Co. to name a few. First and foremost, Saint Archer said, was to focus on producing the highest quality craft beer possible. Knowing that Stone will only distribute a select number of quality breweries was a key element in Saint Archer’s decision.

Hey, speaking of Stone, be sure to check out our feature with Brewmaster Mitch Steele talking about, among other things, Levitation Ale for our Beer of the Month focus on amber ales.

“Stone Distributing is thrilled to be working with Saint Archer Brewing Company,” stated Steve Wagner co-founder and president of Stone Brewing Co. “While there may be a number of new entrants in the craft beer world, it is rarer, in our experience, to find one with the fantastic beer, considerable talent and unique vision that Saint Archer possesses. We look forward to helping them achieve their ambitious goals.”
