#CBC17 Interviews: Talking protective packaging with the containment experts at Muller

April 17, 2017Keith Gribbins

The Octopus is an awesome piece of machinery. Just watch the automatic stretch wrapper work in the video above. Its unique ring technology was introduced to the marketplace more than 30 years ago and has been an example of optimized stretch wrapping ever since. Why would your brewery need such a high-tech robot? Money. Stretch wrapping like this can save save money in manpower, precision, efficiency and lost product.

Muller Load Containment Solutions products like the Octopus help brewers A) optimize load containment and B) minimize film usage. According to Muller, the inherent flexibility of the rotary ring stretch wrap technology provides the best load containment possible at the lowest cost per load (film savings of up to 25 percent are possible versus traditional rotary arm stretch wrappers). We talked about the Octopus and other protective packaging solutions with Ryan Womble, national account manager at Muller, at the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America last week. Watch it above.
