I’ve been eating up this Seven Over 7 video series from Boulevard Brewing, focusing on food, beer and great chefs

August 6, 2018Keith Gribbins

Food and beer are two of my favorite things, and I know I’m not alone. Over the last couple of months, Boulevard Brewing Co. has been releasing a video series called Seven Over 7 where it interviews talented chefs from across the country, with a big focus on its hometown of Kansas City, Mo., which is known for some great eats. Each video has seven questions for chefs, while they drink Tank 7, a versatile Farmhouse Ale that complements a wide variety of food. You’ve got Chef Ryan from Trimm’s Sweet Grass restaurant in Memphis, Tenn. You’ve got Kansas City’s Colby Garrelts, a James Beard award-winner for Best Chef: Midwest with progressive restaurants like Blustem and Rye. You’ve got a lot of talent talking and giving insights.

Questions range from what beer best pairs with certain dishes to top travel destinations to what seven ingredients they’d use to make the ultimate dish. I know you don’t feel like working this Monday morning, so here’s six (not seven, sorry) videos from Boulevard Brewing that should eat up a big chunk of your morning. Time for lunch yet?
